I'm not here for two days. I wonder if they missed me? Dave drums on Rolls So Deep and the temporarily-named All right. They also experimented with recording some floor-tom, snare and tambourine in the stairwell, which is very Wall of Sound.
You may wish to know we sent the 149 to get repaired (the capsule is degrading causing crackles), so in the meantime we're renting an 87. 'That old favourite!' you're thinking. Anyway, we've been using them on the kick drum, so please refer to the drums on say, Cinderella (149) with the drums on Rolls So Deep (87) for a comparison. Well, it's hard to find a large-diaphragm mic that can handle that kind of level, isn't it?
